Our Privacy Policy is the binding legal document. This page is the plain-language version of the same thing: a walk through exactly what happens from the moment you press submit, so you can decide before you fill anything in.
1. What We Ask For, and Why
A loan enquiry asks for nine things. Each one does a specific job — none of it is collected speculatively.
| What we ask | Why it is needed | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| PAN number | Identifies you uniquely to the credit bureau. Without it your credit report cannot be matched, and most lenders will not assess a file. | Credit bureau, partner lenders |
| Full name as per PAN | Must match the PAN record exactly, or the bureau lookup fails. This is why the form rejects nicknames and placeholder names. | Credit bureau, partner lenders |
| Gender | Required as a matching parameter by the credit bureau API. | Credit bureau, partner lenders |
| Mobile number | Used to reach you about the enquiry, and as a second bureau matching parameter. | Credit bureau, partner lenders |
| Pincode | Lenders serve different areas. Your pincode decides which partners can consider your application at all. | Partner lenders |
| Loan amount required | Matched against each lender’s minimum and maximum ticket size. | Partner lenders |
| Net monthly salary or annual turnover | Drives the eligibility calculation — the obligations ratio for salaried applicants, turnover bands for business applicants. | Partner lenders |
| Email address (optional) | Used only to send your application acknowledgement. Leave it blank and no email is sent. | Not shared for marketing |
| WhatsApp consent (optional) | A WhatsApp update is sent only if you tick this box. Untick it and no WhatsApp message is triggered. | Messaging provider, only if ticked |
Later in the process, the lender assessing your file will ask for documents directly — salary slips, bank statements, ITR, KYC. Those go to the lender under its own process.
2. What Happens After You Submit
Your details reach us over an encrypted connection
The form submits over TLS to our application database. The public website can write an enquiry but cannot read any enquiry back — records are only readable by authorised LoanLogic staff through an access-controlled internal console.
Your credit report is requested — only if you gave a PAN and name
Where both are present, we request your credit information from the bureau under the consent you gave in the Credit Report Terms of Use. This is recorded as an enquiry against your credit file. If you do not provide a PAN, no bureau request is made and the enquiry is marked as not generated.
You get an acknowledgement
If you gave an email address, a confirmation email is sent. If you ticked WhatsApp consent, a WhatsApp update is sent to the number you entered. Both are conditional — leave the field blank or the box unticked and that message is never generated.
Your profile is matched against partner criteria
Your income, obligations, pincode, bureau record and requested amount are compared against the published criteria of our partner Banks and NBFCs to identify which of them can consider your file.
Your application is shared with the matched lenders
Only the lenders that can actually consider your profile receive your details. We do not broadcast your enquiry to every partner on the panel, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
A LoanLogic advisor may call you
Our team may contact you during business hours to confirm details, explain the options that came back, and tell you which lender is assessing your file. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any point.
The lender runs its own process and decides
The lender performs its own KYC, verification and underwriting, may contact you directly for documents, and issues the final decision, rate and terms. LoanLogic is not a party to that decision and cannot approve, reject or reprice it.
Your data is retained, then deleted
If a loan is disbursed, application data is retained for the loan lifecycle plus 7 years to meet legal and regulatory obligations. If you enquired but no loan was taken, the enquiry is retained for up to 3 years. Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months. After that, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
3. Who Receives Your Data Outside LoanLogic
| Recipient | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Partner Banks and NBFCs | Your application details and credit information, sent only to the lenders whose criteria your profile matches. | They make the credit decision. Without this the enquiry cannot produce an offer. |
| Credit Information Companies | PAN, name, gender and mobile, used to retrieve your credit report. | Regulated bureaus — CRIF High Mark, TransUnion CIBIL and Equifax — supply the credit record lenders underwrite against. |
| Technology and communication providers | The minimum needed to host the database and deliver your email or WhatsApp acknowledgement. | Infrastructure and messaging, under contractual data-protection obligations. They do not use your data for their own purposes. |
| Regulators and law enforcement | Whatever a valid legal instrument compels. | Only where required by law, court order or regulation. |
The lenders we work with are named on our partner lender page, along with how we are paid for the introduction.
4. What We Will Never Do With It
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We do not share your enquiry with lenders whose criteria your profile does not match.
- We do not send a WhatsApp message unless you ticked the consent box, or an email unless you gave an address.
- We do not request a credit report without a PAN and a name, and never outside the consent you gave in the Credit Report Terms of Use.
- We do not require any payment to process, release or prioritise an enquiry.
